Turkey exported 206,032 tons of hazelnut and obtained 1.29 billion USD in the 11th month of 2009-2010 hazelnut export season which started on September 1, 2009.

According to the Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters' Association, Turkey exported hazelnut to nearly 90 countries from September 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010. Turkey exported 154,241 tons of hazelnut to the European Union countries, 23,019 tons of hazelnut to other European countries, 18,309 tons of hazelnut to the overseas countries and 10,463 tons of hazelnut to the other countries.

In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey exported 230,783 tons of hazelnut and gained 1.1 billion USD.
